Steal An Egg Secrets — Confirmed Tricks & Debunked Rumors

Verified Steal An Egg secrets: Pet Index bats, night hatching, the wall-drop carry, boss flip and empty-server method, with patched and debunked tricks marked.

8/27/2026 Update #2 Last updated: 9/2/2026 7 min read

What secrets are confirmed in Steal An Egg?

The list below separates tested mechanics from creator claims. Nothing here requires scripts or third-party tools, but glitches can be patched at any update, so recheck the status after each patch.

SecretStatusNotes
Pet Index area batsConfirmedCompleting an area’s Pet Index unlocks that area’s themed bat (Forest wooden, Lake water, Desert sand and so on)
Stronger bats hit fartherConfirmed in testingA creator test showed the Prehistoric bat knocking a player well past the basic bat’s distance
Faster hatching at nightObserved in testingA creator measured eggs hatching far faster at night than during the day
Multiple mutations on one petConfirmedA pet was shown carrying rainbow and gold mutations at the same time
Pen colors and extra slotsConfirmedUpgrading your pen changes its color (gold, diamond) and adds one placement slot per upgrade
Body swap potion at 78/78 petsReported, unverifiedA creator says the developers confirmed it in a private message; no public confirmation exists

How does the wall-drop egg carry work?

The wall-drop lets a low-speed player walk a stolen egg home, because a guardian cannot reclaim an egg tucked inside wall geometry. Grab the egg, face a wall and drop it so it lands inside the wall, then repeat the drop in short hops toward spawn. It is slow, but even a flinch from a guardian will not make you lose the egg while it sits in the wall.

The one rule that matters: never drop the egg in the open. An egg dropped on the path is reclaimed on the spot. The method works in any biome and pays off most in high-speed zones such as Cherry Blossom with its Kitsune guardian.

How does the two-player boss flip work?

This is the highest-ceiling trick and the one most likely to be patched. Two players target the same guarded egg and steal-drop it in fast rotation, keeping every drop inside a wall. The boss’s target flips back and forth until its pathing breaks — it can leave the map, sink into the ground or get stuck at its nest. While it is broken, the nest is effectively free to farm.

It cannot be done solo, and it is exactly the kind of bug a fast-patching game removes first, so treat it as temporary.

Can you stay in a biome past the night teleport?

Normally the night timer teleports everyone back to the start. A creator-documented workaround exploits the reconnect grace period: stand where you want to stay, cut your connection at the right moment, wait out the teleport, then reconnect to keep your position while everyone else races back from spawn.

The timing has changed as the developers patched it, so follow the current version rather than older tutorials:

  • Old method — patched. Turning Wi-Fi off about five seconds before the timer hit zero and back on at zero used to work. A creator confirmed on September 2, 2026 that waiting five to seven seconds no longer saves you.
  • September 2, 2026 method. Disconnect one to two seconds before the timer hits zero, then reconnect about four to five seconds after the sun appears. The window is tight — reconnecting even roughly half a second late kicks you from the game — and a “face the wall and jump as night falls” clip circulating in the same round did not survive testing.

This is an exploit of the reconnect grace period rather than an intended mechanic, and it has already been patched once. Expect it to be patched again, and remember that abusing bugs can put your account at risk under Roblox rules — the safest long-term edge is still speed training and a clean return route, as covered in the beginner guide.

How do you find an empty server?

Steal An Egg has no private servers, but you can get close to an empty one. Open the server list, sort by fewest players and — this is the step most people skip — scroll several pages down before joining. Everyone using this trick joins the first near-empty server, so the first page fills back up immediately, while servers a few pages deep stay quiet.

A quiet server removes the race for each rare spawn, which pairs well with the five-minute rare egg cycle explained in the spawn times guide.

A September 2, 2026 addition: the game itself displays a “this experience does not support private servers” notice, so some players instead fill a public server with alternate accounts — a main plus several alts — for a de facto private lobby. In the same round of footage, the join screen also intermittently rejected hops with an “experience is restricted” error, so expect the occasional failed join and retry.

Which glitches were still working on September 2, 2026?

Glitch status changes with every patch, so creators recheck after each update. YamashiP’s September 2, 2026 roundup (video) demonstrated the glitch below as still unpatched in the current version, and re-verified the night-skip and near-empty server methods above with updated timing. Anything on this page can be removed without notice — the game has patched each of these at least once already — and relying on bugs can put your account at risk under Roblox rules. The durable edge is still speed training and route practice, covered in the beginner guide.

  • Incubator tiger trap — working again, and now the way into the Sakura Blossom zone. The hide-behind-the-incubator idea reported patched in August is back in September footage with a new purpose: reaching the Sakura Blossom egg content without meeting the zone’s speed gate. Steal an egg the zone’s tiger guardian guards, lure it behind the Sakura Incubator, then drop the egg so the tiger gets stuck. While it is stuck, its eggs can be stolen freely — the creator stood beside the tiger holding an egg with no aggro and noted the whole server can farm the zone this way. It is finicky: on camera he failed several times before finding the right drop spot, and the tiger reclaims the egg instantly on a wrong drop. As of September 2, 2026 it was unpatched; it has been reported patched once before, so it can go again at any update.

Which secrets are patched or debunked?

  • Incubator tiger trap — reported patched in August, working again on September 2. Late-August coverage reported the hide-behind-the-incubator method dead, but a September 2, 2026 roundup demonstrates a working version (see “Which glitches were still working on September 2, 2026?” above). Status flip-flops between patches — test it in your session before relying on it.
  • Ice bat freeze — debunked. Testing showed the Snow bat hits farther but does not freeze players in place.
  • Hidden bush loot — debunked. The odd image on a Forest bush is decoration; a full map sweep found nothing inside any bush, tree or rock.
  • Fuse Machine — use with caution. Fusing three matching pets can hand back the same egg, so check the pets list before feeding rare pets into it.

New secrets surface after every update. This page was rechecked against September 2, 2026 source material after Update #2 landed — the working-glitch section above is dated to that round, and anything that cannot be verified stays marked as a rumor rather than a fact.
