Steal An Egg Monsters Are Coming Update — What's New
Everything new in Steal An Egg Update #2: Hungry Monster, infested eggs, Monster Chests, Titan Temple and a monster boss event — unverified details marked.
What is the Monsters Are Coming update?
Monsters Are Coming is the second major update for Steal An Egg (Update #2), following the Cherry Blossom Update. It went live on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 3:42 PM UTC. The official description published before release reads:
Strange sightings have been reported across the world. Giant creatures are beginning to emerge, and this is only the beginning. Prepare yourself. The monster update arrives this weekend.
What’s new in the update?
- The Hungry Monster — a giant creature you can feed parasite-infested eggs. Fill its belly with five eggs and it drops a Monster Chest. Full farming breakdown: Monster Chest guide.
- Infested eggs — parasite-ridden eggs that spawn from the Snow biome onward, marked by a purple glow.
- Monster Chest rewards — the new Monsterosaurus egg (listed at the bottom of the Pet Index) and the Fly Swatter weapon, which launches players much farther than normal bats.
- Titan Temple — a new jungle-themed zone. [Unconfirmed] A creator reported a roughly 7 billion speed recommendation to run it; the exact unlock point and speed requirement have not been officially published.
- Monster boss event — footage shows a giant-creature boss fight breaking out in a server, described by one creator as “Godzilla versus King Kong.” [Unconfirmed] How the event starts, how often it runs and what it rewards are not confirmed.
- New pets and items — one creator summarized the update as “10 new stuff.” [Unconfirmed] The exact number of new pets and items has not been officially published.
What did community tests find on September 2, 2026?
Two creator tests from the September 2 coverage round add hands-on data on the current version. Both are single-creator results, not official statements from the developers.
50 Monster Eggs hatched in one session
Bemmy bought 50 Monsterosaurus (“monster”) eggs with Robux and hatched every one of them on camera. His run shows what the egg’s pool holds in practice, with one big caveat: a single 50-egg sample is not an odds table.
- Every Monster Egg takes about 10 seconds to grow before it can be opened.
- The pool runs the full rarity ladder — frogs he nicknamed “Froggo”, silver scorpions, a crawler and a centipede-style pet at the bottom, up to the rare end.
- Two Divine Dread Scales hatched: the first appeared around his 30th egg and the second was noticeably bigger, with the pair reading over 11 billion per second combined.
- Three Eternal-tier pets also hatched, and the final egg produced a huge turtle pet he called the wildest possible finish to a 50-bundle.
- The egg’s shop listing advertises a ~1% chance to reroll a hatch into a new result; Bemmy never triggered it across all 50 eggs.
His own verdict: “that’s some YouTuber luck right there.” Treat the run exactly that way — one creator’s luck, not odds. No hatch-rate conclusion follows from a single bundle, and no official hatch-odds table has been published.
Sakura crystals: a 100% deposit mutates the egg you choose
YamashiP’s September 2 coverage walks through the Sakura crystal loop in the current version, with the Great Bloom running:
- Sakura crystals come from the Sakura tree during the Great Bloom event.
- The Sakura Incubator unlocks when you hatch a Crane — Crane hatches from eggs in the Sakura Blossom (Cherry Blossom) area — and take it to the incubator.
- Once unlocked, you pick the egg to mutate — the demonstration chose from his Secret and Eternal eggs — and deposit Sakura crystals into the machine.
- Depositing a minimum of 100% Sakura crystals adds a mutation to the egg you picked.
The incubator is Cherry Blossom content that predates Update #2, but the mechanics above were re-verified in September 2, 2026 footage.
What is still unconfirmed?
- The Monsterosaurus egg’s exact chest drop odds (creators report roughly 1.5% per chest).
- The full Monster Chest reward pool.
- Titan Temple’s exact location, speed requirement and pet list.
- How the monster boss event is triggered and what it drops.
- Whether a new limited-time event will follow The Great Bloom — this was speculation in pre-release coverage, not a confirmed feature.
