Steal An Egg Enchanted Mutation — Recipe & How to Apply
Steal An Egg Enchanted mutation: craft Enchanted Essence at the Mutation Shrine, apply it to your best pets. Recipe, apply chance, and farming value explained.
What is the Enchanted mutation in Steal An Egg?
The Enchanted mutation is a pet value modifier added in Update 7: Enchanted Forest, which went live on October 3, 2026. Steal An Egg has shipped a new mutation line with nearly every major biome — Angels & Demons, the Dr. Scramble line, and now the forest — and Enchanted is the current top of that chain, sitting behind the hardest gate in the game.
Mutations in Steal An Egg are multiplicative modifiers that ride on top of a pet’s base money-per-second: a mutated pet is worth more and, for income mutations, earns more than its plain version. The exact income multiplier for Enchanted is not developer-published, so treat any single number you see on a tracker as an estimate — this page deliberately does not quote one.
What makes Enchanted different from earlier mutations is how you get it. There is no luck involved at the end: you craft an Enchanted Essence at the Mutation Shrine inside the Enchanted Tree and apply it to a pet, and the Shrine panel shows a 100% chance for the Essence to apply the mutation successfully. The grind is entirely in the crafting cost, not in the roll.
How do you unlock the Enchanted mutation chain?
Nothing on this page is accessible on a fresh account. The Enchanted mutation sits at the very end of the Update 7 progression chain, in order:
- Reach 50B Speed. The Enchanted Forest — the newest biome, past Angels & Demons — gates at roughly 50 billion Speed, the highest requirement in the game.
- Find the Wisp NPC and finish its three quests. The Wisp floats on the right side of the Enchanted Forest, near the recommended speed board, and only spawns for players who meet the Speed requirement. Its three quests — steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs, fuse 20 Enchanted Forest animals, steal any one Eternal egg — are covered step by step in our Wisp guide.
- Enter the Enchanted Tree. Completing the questline unseals the tree. Inside is a secret room holding the free Butterfly Net, the Butterfly Bloom event, and the Mutation Shrine. Our butterfly guide covers the net and the Bloom farming loop in detail.
- Farm butterflies into Enchanted Essence. Butterfly Bloom waves spawn catchable butterflies inside the tree; caught butterflies are the input for the Essence recipe below.
Once the tree is open, the whole loop is permanently available — the only remaining cost is the farming time itself.
What is the Enchanted Essence recipe?
The Mutation Shrine crafts Enchanted Essence from gems. The community-reported recipe is:
240 Emerald + 115 Sapphire + 40 Amethyst + 1 Radiant → 1 Enchanted Essence
Flag this clearly: the recipe comes from a single community write-up and has not been confirmed across multiple independent sources. Treat the in-game Shrine panel as the authority — if the panel in your game shows different numbers, the panel wins. Gem requirements are the kind of detail updates quietly retune, so re-check the panel after each patch before you stockpile.
Either way, the shape of the cost is not in doubt: Enchanted Essence is an endgame-priced consumable. You are not meant to craft one for every pet you own — you are meant to save it for the pets that matter.
What does the “100%” on the Mutation Shrine actually mean?
This is the single most-misread fact about the update, so read it twice: the “100%” shown on the Enchanted Mutation Shrine is the chance that the Essence successfully applies the mutation — it is not an income multiplier.
Some write-ups phrase the same mechanic as the Essence “guaranteeing” the Enchanted mutation. Both wordings describe one thing: when you apply an Enchanted Essence, the mutation lands every time — no random roll, no failed attempt. That is the entire value of the Essence over normal mutation hatching.
What the 100% does not tell you is how much the Enchanted mutation multiplies your pet’s income. The developers have not published that figure. Any exact multiplier you see quoted on a tracker site or video is an estimate, and different trackers currently disagree — which is exactly what you would expect when nobody has official numbers. Until the developers publish the effect, treat Enchanted as “a high-tier mutation with an unconfirmed multiplier” and plan around the crafting cost, which is the part you can actually verify in-game.
Is the Enchanted mutation worth farming?
For endgame players, yes — with a caveat about which pets deserve it.
The logic is straightforward. Mutations multiply a pet’s value, so the same multiplier is worth more on a bigger base. Applying Enchanted to your best Divine pets turns the steep Essence recipe into a meaningful upgrade, because there is no cheaper way to push a top pet further. Applying it to a common pet you will replace next week burns a 240-Emerald recipe on a stat line that barely moves.
So the practical rule: if you are already past the 50B Speed wall and sitting on maxed Divine pets, the Enchanted grind is the correct use of your farming time. If you are still progressing through earlier biomes, skip it entirely — the same hours spent on pet income and Speed will pay back faster, and the Enchanted Tree will still be there when you arrive. Check the pets index for which pets are actually worth the Essence before you spend one.
Steal An Egg Enchanted Mutation FAQ
Is there an Enchanted mutation code in Steal An Egg? No. There are no Enchanted mutation codes, no Essence codes, and Steal An Egg has never had an official code redemption system — the codes status page tracks every check. Anyone selling an “Enchanted code” is guessing.
Does Enchanted Essence guarantee the mutation? Yes — the Shrine panel shows a 100% chance for the Essence to successfully apply the Enchanted mutation, which is why some guides call it a guarantee. What is not guaranteed, or even published, is the size of the income multiplier the mutation adds.
What does the Enchanted mutation multiply? Officially, nothing has been published. The mutation rides on a pet’s base income as a multiplier, but the exact figure is unconfirmed and tracker sites currently quote different estimates. We will not quote a number until one is verifiable.
Can I get the Enchanted mutation without the Essence? The confirmed path is the Essence from the Mutation Shrine. Normal mutation rolls stay random; the Essence is what removes the roll. There is no confirmed shortcut — no code, no shop purchase, no quest reward.
