Steal An Egg Monster Chest

Steal An Egg Monster Chest — How to Farm One Fast

Monster Chests drop when the Hungry Monster eats five infested eggs from Snow onward. Farm them for Monsterosaurus eggs and the Fly Swatter, odds unconfirmed.

What is the Monster Chest in Steal An Egg?

The Monster Chest is a reward chest added in Update #2, “Monsters Are Coming” (live August 29, 2026). It is dropped by the Hungry Monster, a giant frog-like creature that appeared with the update, and it is the main free way to earn the new Monsterosaurus egg — the egg is also sold directly for Robux — along with the Fly Swatter weapon. It is one piece of the wider update — see the Monsters Are Coming overview for everything else that shipped.

How do you make the Hungry Monster drop a chest?

The in-game notice shown in gameplay videos lays out the loop in two steps:

  1. Find a parasite-infested egg. Infested eggs spawn from the Snow biome onward — look for the purple glow and steal it.
  2. Feed the monster. Bring the infested egg to the Hungry Monster. Every feed fills its belly by 20%.

Fill the belly to 100% — that means five infested eggs — and the monster drops a Monster Chest, which any player can then open.

Where do infested eggs spawn?

Infested eggs appear from the Snow biome onward, and every one glows purple, which makes them easy to spot among normal spawns. Creators also note that a massive infested egg can appear in the pool alongside the normal-sized ones. [Unconfirmed] Roughly ten infested eggs per egg reset is a creator estimate, not an official number — the exact spawn count has not been published.

What can a Monster Chest drop?

RewardStatusNotes
Monsterosaurus eggReportedListed at the bottom of the Pet Index (creators call it the “monster egg”); chest drop chance reported at roughly 1.5% by creators — not officially confirmed
Fly SwatterReportedMelee weapon that launches players a long distance; creators rate it stronger than the area bats
Other rewardsUnconfirmedThe full reward pool has not been published

The 1.5% figure comes from a creator opening chests on camera and reading the odds in-game, so treat it as player-reported rather than official. A creator who opened roughly twenty chests in one session had not pulled the egg yet, which matches a low chance with a visible reward pool.

The egg is not chest-exclusive. Bemmy bought 50 Monsterosaurus eggs with Robux in a September 2 session and hatched them all on camera, pulling two Divine Dread Scales and three Eternal-tier pets — see the community test data on the Monsters Are Coming page. Treat that run as one creator’s luck, not odds.

What is the fastest way to farm Monster Chests?

The method creators use takes advantage of the fact that infested eggs reset with each new server:

  1. Steal every infested egg in your current server — they are plentiful from Snow onward.
  2. Open the server list and sort by fewest players, then scroll several pages down before joining. Everyone using this trick joins the first near-empty server, so first-page servers fill instantly while deeper ones stay quiet.
  3. In the fresh server the eggs have reset, so steal the infested eggs again and feed them to the monster.
  4. Repeat the loop — every five eggs is one chest.

As of September 2, 2026, the hop itself has been flaky: Bemmy reports the join screen intermittently returning an “experience is restricted” error while resetting servers for infested eggs. The method still works — expect the occasional failed hop and retry.

Is the Monster Chest worth farming?

The Hungry Monster gives slower players a real path to late-game content: feeding it has no speed requirement, unlike nest stealing in the high-value biomes. Creators describe it as the most new-player-friendly farm of the update, with the Monsterosaurus egg sitting at the bottom of the Pet Index next to its strongest pets. Low odds on the egg itself are the main downside — the chests are easy, but pulling the egg can take many opens.
